Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

For Loved Ones on the Spectrum

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach of using the functions of behavior to understand the relationship between one’s behaviors and their environment. ABA Therapy uses principles of positive reinforcement to increase new skills, while teaching replacement behaviors for reducing challenging behaviors. It's based on the idea that behavior can be modified through learning and is shaped by the environment. ABA therapy is often used to support children with autism and other developmental delays. Based on where your child excels and where they struggle, ABA uses positive reinforcement and individualized attention to help them learn new skills and replace problem behaviors with more productive ones. ABA can focus on communication, cognitive, adaptive living skills, social and individualized learning domains across a wide variety of ages and developmental levels.
