There’s something about the transition into summer that feels different.
Longer days are approaching. Schedules begin to open up. Kids can feel the shift before it fully arrives — the anticipation of freedom, fewer routines, and more unstructured time.
It’s a season many families look forward to. And at the same time, it can bring unexpected challenges.
As structure begins to loosen, some children experience increased emotional intensity, difficulty with transitions, or a sense of uncertainty. Even positive changes can impact how kids think, feel, and respond to their environment.
That’s one of the reasons we’re so excited to be part of this summer kickoff event. 🎉
There will be bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, and all the moments that make summer memorable.

But our presence goes beyond the celebration. We are there to support families as they navigate this seasonal transition.
We believe mental health support should be accessible, proactive, and integrated into everyday life — not reserved only for moments of crisis.
Support can look like:
answering questions
offering guidance
connecting families to resources
or simply being a consistent, trusted presence
U Project partnering with Kodiak Counseling helps by staying committed to helping families feel supported, informed, and connected as they move into the summer season.
We invite you to join us — to enjoy the activities, connect with your community, and access support if and when you need it.
Summer is almost here. ☀️And we’re honored to step into it alongside you.
