You’re Invited: Summer Kickoff + Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—and this year, we’re celebrating it the way we believe it should be celebrated: With connection. With community. And with a whole lot of fun.
Because taking care of your mental health doesn’t always look like sitting in an office talking about your feelings.
Sometimes it looks like:
Laughing with your kids
Getting outside
Letting your shoulders drop for a minute
Feeling like you’re part of something again
And that’s exactly what this weekend is about.

This Saturday: Come Hang Out With Us!
We’re kicking off summer with a community event that’s built for everyone—not just clients, not just adults… everyone.
We’ll have:
Face painting
Bounce houses
Nail painting
Space to hang out, connect, and just be
Bring your kids. Bring a friend. Come for 10 minutes or stay for a while.
There’s no pressure here—just a really good excuse to get out and enjoy something simple.
Why This Matters (Without Making It Weird)
Here’s the truth: Mental health isn’t just about what happens in hard moments. It’s also about what happens in the good ones.
It’s built in:
Safe spaces
Positive experiences
Feeling connected to people around you
Letting yourself have fun without guilt
Events like this might seem small—but they matter more than people realize. They remind us:you’re not alone here.
You Don’t Have to Be “Struggling” to Show Up
You don’t need a reason to come.
You don’t need to be going through something hard. You don’t need to be a current client. You don’t even need to know what Kodiak does.
If you:
Want something fun to do with your kids
Need a reason to get out of the house
Or just want to feel a little more connected
You belong here.
And If You Are Having a Hard Time…
You’re still welcome.
No spotlight. No pressure. No awkward conversations required.
Just people who care, resources if you want them, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
We’ll See You There 🤍
At Kodiak, we believe mental health support should feel human, approachable, and part of everyday life—not something separate or intimidating.
This is one small way we try to live that out.
So come hang out with us this Saturday. Kick off summer. Let your kids play. Take a breath.
We’d really love to see you.
